As a local, family-owned and operated business, The Foot Spot has been serving the foot care needs of the greater Kansas City area since 2005. The Foot Spot team is compromised of trained Pedorthists. Pedorthists are professionals with specialized training enabling them to address conditions which affect the feet and lower limbs, the ability to modify footwear, and use supportive devises to give our customers relief and comfort. They are trained in the assessment of lower limb anatomy and biomechanics and the appropriate use of corrective footwear including shoe modification and other pedorthist services.
Our team takes pride in finding ways to bring happiness and comfort to peoples lives by offering the proper footwear and the best fit for their feet.
The Foot Spot takes a personalized, professional experience to the next level by educating customers on their foot type and arch height with brands and styles that are most likely to feel best on their feet. We accomplish this with our extensive Pedorthic knowledge and in-store sizing by style resulting in a better fit. Ryan Richard - Owner
Ryan moved back to Kansas City in 2005 to start The Foot Spot. He studied Pedorthics training through the Academy of Pedorthic Science and later became certified through American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics. Gretchen Brewer - Featured Team Member
Grechen has been with The Foot Spot since 2006. As a Pedorthist, she enjoys helping athletes and non-athletes alike live a life with reduced pain. When not at work, Gretchen can be found enjoying outdoor activities, spending time with friends. She especially loves to spend time with her two boys and their dogs.
The Foot Spot's Annual Helping Teachers in our Community Contest
Each year any teacher within 25 miles of one of our locations is invited to submit an 800 word or less description of a project they would like to do in their classroom, but may not have funding for. The Foot Spot will proudly offer $500 grants to 3 local teachers to fulfill their classroom dreams.
The Foot Spot - Heart and Sole Project
The Foot Spot's Heart and Sole Project has been dedicated to helping people feel better since 2005. At the Foot Spot it's always been more than just shoes and arch supports. We are proud to participate with our customers for local charities helping to care for our communities.
